Psalmy odnoszące się do Dawida w katechezie biblijnej

Abstract

The present paper deals with the matter of psalms referring to King David in biblical catechesis. This matter is concerned with some catechetical purposes. The first of them is the task of liturgical formation and the teaching of prayer. Then, as David’s psalms involve also the biblical history, the pupils should be made acquainted with it, especially during the mystagogical catechesis. The paper touches on the matter of the text of the Book of Psalms used during catechesis, and presents the paragraphs in the Catechism of the Catholic Church, referring to David as a man of prayer, exhibiting David’s psalms related to the events in his life. Also, the place of David’s psalms in the Church liturgy is dealt with, and finally the catechetical propositions concerned with religion classes, parish catechesis, and the pupil’s individual biblical study are put forward.
