Teologiczny wymiar biblijnego przejścia przez Jordan

Abstract

The author presents the theology of the Jordan River Crossing of the Chosen People under Joshua's leadership, in light of the relevant Bible texts, especially the passages of the Israelites Crossing of the Red Sea and the baptism of Jesus. Just as Joshua led the Chosen People through Jordan and introduced them to the Promised Land, Jesus, through his messianic mission, introduced the new people of God to the promised land in the eschatological dimension, liberating him from the bondage of Satan, evil and sin. The river itself and the theological message of the event of the Crossing are constantly linked to the theology of the sacrament of baptism.
