dc.description.abstract	The author of the article discusses the ever recurring problem of life’s meaning. The text consists of two main parts. In the first one the author tries to explain what should be meant by the meaning of life: what does it mean when someone says that his life has meaning. In the second part the role of religion is treated, especially the Christian religion, in the process of discovering and maintaining the conviction of the meaning of life. Some opinions of psychologists, philosophers and theologians on the topic are briefly discussed and it is pointed out how Christianity explains the meaning of suffering, evil and death.	pl_PL
