dc.description.abstract A problem of the dogma is serious difficulty in aspiration for achievement of visible unity among the Christians. Individual Churches are not even consistent with the very concept of dogma. The problem of reinterpretation of the dogma is appeared especially at the side of Catholic Church which since the Eastern schism and the Reformation have described three “new” dogmas specifically catholic: the Immaculate Conception, the Pope’s infallibility and the Assumption of Virgin Mary. Saying about necessity of reinterpretation of the dogmas one does not head certainly towards that to refuse values or binding power of already existing dogmas. The thing is in deeper awareness that dogmatic statements are not able exhaustively to pass on content of faith. Since, they refer to specific content, and the supernatural reality get out of control of any attempt at adequate taking. Dogmatic definitions show rather a way to existential confrontation with the mystery itself. It is difficult to keep “unity language” not only within the history. Cultural and racial, national and social differences make that living people read out in own way one and the same Revelation of God. It comes into being justified variety of views, beliefs and practices. The pluralism of dogmatic expressions may be very useful in the reinterpretation of the dogma. Fact of existence in the New Testament many formula of religions proves that one should be thought over the matter of generalization of some dogmas and more clearly placing them in the hierarchy of truths. Uniformity is not an ideal of Christian tradition. Since the Church is composed of people belonging to various cultural groups and that is why it is necessary so that Gospel would be explained and formulated in different way. Also the teaching of the Church should not and does not have to push one trend, school or specific model of theological thinking that is required by true Roman Catholic Church. Variety of many dogmatic traditions in principle does not stand in the way of unity of faith and the Church. That is correct thing that modern ecumenical dialogue inclines towards think over the problem of dogma and its interpretation again. Such attitude may awake the spirit of sound criticism in reinterpretation of expressions of own theological tradition and help to find out a proper relation to authentic Christian tradition. At the same time it also makes sensitive to true values of dogmatic tradition of other religions. Reinterpretation of the dogma in the ecumenical prospective should among others lead to so that the Christians non-Catholic to uncover religious value in the specifically catholic dogmas. The Catholics, however, – in basic principles or dogmas of other religions. „Ecumenical dialogue between the Churches would experience great support if eccleasial communities more realized themselves limitation of their dogmatic formula and considered possibility and validity of various way of formulation of the dogmatic statements”. pl_PL
