Jan Paweł II papieżem Eucharystii

Abstract

This text is written because of the John Paul II's announcing of the Eucharistic Year. It presents John Paul ΙI's teaching on Eucharist. In this presentation three documents are mainly referred to. First, the principal thoughts of the pope’s teaching during the 46-th International Eucharistic Congress are considered. Then, the author presents key topics of the pontifical teaching in the encyclical letter Ecclesia de Eucharistia (2003). Finally, in the third part, the foremost dimensions of the Eucharist are explained as exposed in the Apostolic Letter “Mane nobiscum, Domine” (Oct. 2004). Such abundant teaching of the present pontiff on this mystery allows us to call John Paul II the pope of the Eucharist.
