Streszczenie:
The medieval Doctors dealt with the question if the Blessed Mary had made the vow of virginity. Most of them – Thomas Aquinas included – answered negatively admitting only a kind of conditional vow. Quite defferent was the sentence of John Duns Scotus. who claimed an absolute, unconditioned vow. His doctrine is worth noticing first of all because of its argumentation, but also because it coincides with the sentence of the Eastern Church who in this sense celebrates the Presentation of the Blessed Virfin in the temple of Jerusalem.
