dc.description Tłumaczenie streszczenia / Translated by Tadeusz Karłowicz. pl_PL
dc.description.abstract The aim of the study was to define the differences in the self-image and the image of the authority in young people. 189 subjects were studied: 37 secondary school pupils belonging to the Oasis Movement, 75 secondary school pupils who did not belong to any religious groups, and 76 persons subjected to rehabilitation in a rehabilitation center. The average age of the studied youths was 17,4 years. The self-image and the image of the authority were defined on the basis of Gough and Heilbrun’s Adjective Check List (ACL) that was filled out by the subjects according to the version: “what are you like?” and “what is the person, who is an authority for you like?” The results of the study show numerous similarities in the area of the self-image and the image of the authority between the secondary school pupils belonging to the Oasis Movement, and ones not belonging to any religious groups, and significant differences between the secondary school pupils and young people from the rehabilitation center as far as the image of the authority is concerned. Secondary school pupils, both the ones belonging and the ones not belonging to religious groups, ascribe more positive than negative features to their authorities, contrary to the young people from the rehabilitation center. For young people belonging to the Oasis Movement most often God is the authority, and for those who do not belong to any religious group - their parents are. pl_PL
