Abstract:
In the Dennett’s opinion the resolving of the problem of human consciousness is possible according to the standards of the functionalism. But the most questionable element of this solution is the problem of the intrinsic qualities (qualia). Dennett tries to eliminate the qualia from the consciousness on the base such arguments as thought experiments and intuitional pumps. In the article I indicate that similar treatment the problem of qualia is the example of Dennett’s preference for a postmodern style of doing philosophy.
