Matka Boża a Misterium Paschalne

Abstract

Maryja, której życie i misja były i są ściśle związane z życiem i misją Jej Syna, była z Nim szczególnie blisko w czasie kulminacyjnego momentu Jego ziemskiego życia, czyli w czasie wydarzeń paschalnych. Patrząc na Jej łączność z tymi wydarzeniami możemy dostrzec kilka aspektów Jej obecności w tym misterium. Po pierwsze Maryja jako Pierwsza i w sposób najpełniejszy korzysta z owoców Chrystusowej Męki i Zmartwychwstania. Owoce Paschalnej Tajemnicy Chrystusa wydają w niej najwspanialszy owoc w postaci Jej Niepokalanego Poczęcia i Wniebowzięcia. Po drugie Maryja oddaje całą siebie na służbę tajemnicy Odkupienia. Towarzysząc Chrystusowi, poprzez swoją miłość i cierpienie staje się Służebnicą Tajemnicy Paschalnej. Po trzecie, z woli umierającego Zbawiciela Maryja staje się duchową Matką Jego umiłowanych uczniów, a więc jednym z najważniejszych Darów paschalnych Chrystusa. Z kolei niezachwiana wiara Maryi w Wielką Sobotę jest wzorem do naśladowania przez wszystkie pokolenia chrześcijan. Ona daje wzór wytrwałości i nienaruszonej wiary w ostateczne zwycięstwo Mesjasza. Ta Jej niezachwiana wiara zostaje nagrodzona w poranek Zmartwychwstania, a Ona staje się dla nas wzorem wytrwałości i znakiem nadziei na ostateczne spotkanie ze Zmartwychwstałym. Wreszcie, oczekując wraz z pierwszą gminą chrześcijańską na Paschalny dar Ducha Świętego, błaga także o ten Dar dla siebie, aby ogarnięta Jego mocą mogła uczestniczyć w Jego misji macierzyńskiej w stosunku do chrześcijan i tak wypełnić jak najlepiej misję zleconą Jej przez umierającego Zbawiciela z wysokości krzyża.

Mary, who’s life and mission were and are closely bounded with the life and mission of her Son, were especially close in the climax of his earthly life, the paschal events. Looking at her connection with these events one can notice some aspects of her presence in this mystery. Mary is the first and the one who most fully enjoys the fruits of Christ’s Passion and Resurrection. Her Immaculate Conception and Assumption are result and fruit of Christ’s paschal mystery. Mary gives herself totally in the service of the mystery of Redemption. Accompanying Christ through her love and suffering, she becomes the servant of the paschal mystery. Mary, by the will of dying Savior, becomes the spiritual Mother of his beloved apostles, and so one of the most important paschal gifts of Christ. Mary’s unwavering faith on Holy Saturday is a model deserving of imitation for all the Christian generations. She is the example of perseverance and unimpaired faith in the definitive victory of the Messiah. Her unwavering faith is rewarded on the morning of the resurrection and she herself becomes for us the model of perseverance and the sign of hope for the definitive meeting with the Risen Christ. Mary, expecting together with the first Christian community the paschal gift of the Holy Spirit, prays for this gift for herself as well, so being permeated by His power, she will be able to participate in His motherly mission for Christians, and to fulfill, as best as possible, the mission given her by Christ dying on the cross.
