Postawy młodzieży wobec Kościoła jako wyzwanie dla katechezy

Abstract

Strukturalna definicja postawy zawiera komponent poznawczy, emocjonalno-oceniający i behawioralny. Badania postaw wobec Kościoła mieszczą się w instytucjonalnym parametrze religijności. Młodzież pojmuje Kościół bardziej w kategoriach wspólnotowych, aniżeli instytucjonalnych, jednak w ostatnich latach wzrasta odsetek respondentów, którzy uważają, że można być człowiekiem religijnym bez Kościoła jako Ludu Bożego. To może być oznaką tworzenia się religijności zindywidualizowanej, dystansującej się od instytucjonalnych wymagań (religijność pozakościelna). Badani młodzi pozytywnie oceniają wkład Kościoła w rozwiązywanie problemów jednostki, rodziny, narodu oraz jego rolę w przemianach ustrojowych. Obawiają się jednak jego zbytniej ingerencji w osobiste życie i zachowania. Dlatego też w hierarchii autorytetów pomocnych w rozwiązywaniu konfliktów moralnych nauki Kościoła i rady duchownych lokują się na dalekich miejscach, a pierwszą rangę ma własne sumienie. Znacznemu zaufaniu do Kościoła w sensie ogólnym towarzyszy mniejszy poziom zaufania do konkretnych struktur i osób w Kościele. Obserwuje się duży deficyt partycypacji w ruchach i wspólnotach religijnych.

A structural definition of an attitude contains the following components: a cognitive, an emotional-evaluating and a behavioral one. The study of attitudes towards the Church is contained within the institutional parameter of religiosity. Young people understand the Church more in the categories of a community than of an institution; however, in recent years the percentage has been growing of respondents who think that it is possible to be a religious man without the Church understood a God’s people. This may be a sign of forma tion of individualized religiosity dissociating itself from the institutional requirements (extra Church religiosity). Studied young men evaluate as positive the Church’s contribution to sol ving the problems of the individual, the family, the nation, and its role in the systemic transformations. However, they are afraid of too much of its intervention in their personal lives and behaviors. This is why in the hierarchy of authorities that are helpful in solving moral conflicts the teachings of the Church and the clergy’s counseling are in remote positions, and one’s conscience is ranked as the first. Considerable trust in the Church in the general meaning is accompanied by a lower level of trust in actual structures and persons in the Church. A con siderable shortage of participation in religious movements and communities may be noticed.
