Abstract

Dokument kapłański (P) z klasycznej hipotezy czterech dokumentów jest sumie jedynym elementem tej hipotezy, który pozostał nadal aktualnym założeniem we wszystkich współczesnych hipotezach na temat powstania Pięcioksięgu (Pentateuch). Problem polega na tym, że do dziś badacze nie są w stanie określić, gdzie ten dokument w swojej pierwotnej formie (tzw. Grundschrift-P) się kończył. We współczesnej dyskusji często ogranicza się go do Ksiąg Rodzaju i Wyjścia. Niemniej teksty klasyfikowane jako P lub post-P znajdujemy również w Księdze Kapłańskiej oraz Liczb, a według niektórych nawet w Księdze Powtórzonego Prawa. Dyskusja natury krytyczno-literackiej nad tekstem Lb 20,1–13 ukazuje złożoność problemu i stanowi przykład, że jednoznaczne rozwiązania w klasyfikacji źródłowej danego tekstu oraz wyjaśnianiu procesu jego powstania nie są łatwe. W najnowszych analizach perykopę uznaje się w całości zarówno za tekst P lub post-P, ale niemniej często proponowane są bardziej złożone i wielowarstwowe modele wyjaśniające proces jej powstawania.

The Priestly Document (P) from the classic hypothesis of four documents is in fact the only one element of this hypothesis, which remained the current assumption in all modern hypotheses about the Pentateuch. The problem is that until now the researchers are unable to determine where this document in its original form (the so-called Grundschrift-P) was ending. In modern discussion, it is often limited to the Books of Genesis and Exodus. Nevertheless, the texts classified as P or post-P are also found in the Book of Leviticus and the Book of Numbers, and according to some even in the Book of Deuteronomy. The discussion of the critical-literary nature on the text in Numbers 20:1–13 shows the complexity of the problem and is an example that unambiguous solutions in the source classification of a given text and explaining the process of its creation are not easy. In the latest analyses, the pericope is considered entirely as either the P or post-P text, but nevertheless more complex and multilayered models explaining the process of its formation are often proposed.
