Biblia dla kobiet. Spór o duchowość kobiety

Abstract

Od dłuższego czasu obserwujemy w Kościele w Polsce rosnącą popularność duchowości powiązanej z płcią. Pojawiają się coraz to nowe propozycje duszpasterskie, rekolekcyjne czy wydawnicze przeznaczone wyłącznie dla kobiet bądź dla mężczyzn. Jeśli chodzi o duchowość kobiety, należy zauważyć, że nie ma jednego, obowiązującego współcześnie modelu. W debacie publicznej toczą się spory na temat roli i miejsca kobiety w Kościele oraz świecie. Polemiki te dotyczą także paradygmatu duchowości kobiety. Egzemplifikację tego może stanowić dyskusja wokół wydanej w 2020 roku polskojęzycznej Biblii dla kobiet. Toczące się polemiki ukazały, jak bardzo zróżnicowane jest podejście samych kobiet do kwestii rozumienia kobiecości jako takiej oraz duchowości kobiet. Niniejszy artykuł ma na celu ukazanie sporu o duchowość współczesnej kobiety na przykładzie dyskusji wokół Biblii dla kobiet. Problem ten został omówiony na tle fenomenu, jakim są wydania Pisma Świętego przeznaczone dla kobiet, by ukazać różnice w definiowaniu duchowości kobiecej w dwóch odrębnych modelach. Następnie przeanalizowane zostaje polskie wydanie Biblii dla kobiet z uwzględnieniem dodatkowych treści, które zawarto w tej publikacji. Zasadnicza część artykułu została poświęcona ukazaniu i analizie sporu wokół omawianego wydania. Autor próbuje jednocześnie ukazać, jak współcześnie definiowana jest duchowość kobiet oraz w jaki sposób jest ona rozumiana i oceniana.

For a long time in the Polish Church, a growing popularity of spirituality related to gender has been observed. New ministrative, retreatal or even editorial suggestions emerge that are intended only for either women or men. Nevertheless, when taking into consideration women’s spirituality, it must be noted that there is currently no single, binding model. In public debates, there have been disputes concerning the role and proper place for women in the Church and in the world. The aforementioned polemics also regard the paradigm of woman’s spirituality. An example of this is the discussion centred on the Polish version of The Bible for Women, published in 2020. Ongoing disputes revealed the diverse attitudes of women themselves towards the matter of understanding femininity as such, as well as women’s spirituality. The aim of this research is to portray the feud over the spirituality of the modern woman based on the dispute over The Bible for Women. This problem is discussed against the background of the phenomenon of editions of Holy Scripture intended for women to depict the differences in defining the women’s spirituality through two separate models. Thereafter, the Polish version of The Bible for Women is analysed with regard to additional content that was included in this publication. The essential part of this research is devoted to outlining and analysing the dispute over the abovementioned publication. At the same time, the author aims to portray the way women’s spirituality is currently defined, along with showing the way in which it is understood and appraised.
