W artykule poruszono kwestię właściwej interpretacji dziedzictwa Soboru Watykańskiego II. Według Benedykta XVI alternatywą „hermeneutyki zerwania” nie jest „hermeneutyka ciągłości”, lecz „hermeneutyka reformy”, ponieważ wierność Ewangelii jest zawsze dynamiczna. W artykule przedstawiono również, na czym polegała nowość Soboru oraz w jaki sposób przechodzić od „litery” do „ducha” dokumentów soborowych. Praktycznym wyrazem zastosowania „hermeneutyki reformy” jest kwestia interpretacji Biblii, na co również autor opracowania zwrócił uwagę.
The article focuses on the issue of proper interpretation of the Second Vatican Council’s inheritance. Benedict XVI believes it’s a “hermeneutic of reform”, not a “hermeneutic of continuity”, that is an alternative to a “hermeneutic of rupture”, for being faithful to gospel means being dynamic. The article shows what was new in the Council and how to transit from the “letter” to the “spirit” of the Council documents. The author of the article also points out that an issue of the Bible interpretation is a practical expression of applying a “hermeneutic of reform”.
